The Defra-funded EBLEX Beef Better Returns Programme is a three year project focusing on knowledge transfer and training for English beef producers. It was launched at Beef Expo on June 2 2006.

EBLEX Beef BRP will focus on five delivery themes, each developed for the four main beef production systems.

• Better Breeding
• Better Fertility and Health
• Better Feeding
• Better Selection
• Better Systems and Costings

It will approach training and events using practical demonstrations on farms, in abattoirs and markets – events which proved so successful during the recent Sheep Better Returns Programme.
