A hill farmer from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Malcolm is the vice-chairman of the National Farmers Union Livestock Board and regional chairman of the National Beef Association. He is also a former regional chairman of the National Sheep Association.
He runs a herd of 40 cows and performance records his flock of 650 ewes.
